LOCAL FIRM SHORTLISTED AS FINALIST FOR THE
2010 BRIDAL BUYER AWARDS
Anna McDonald Bridal Gallery has been shortlisted in Best Innovation and Best Retail Shop Display categories of The 2010 Bridal Buyer Awards, organised by Bridal Buyer magazine. The Anna McDonald iPhone application, iBridal, launched in November was the world’s first Bridal shop application and has caught the imagination of the judges in the best Bridal innovation category.
The event is a highlight on the industry’s calendar and is regarded as Europe’s top bridal awards ceremony; this year there were more than 300 entries and nominations across the 17 awards categories.
The trophies will be presented at a glittering awards ceremony at the Harrogate International Centre on Monday 15 March, during the British Bridal Exhibition (14-16 March). The evening will be hosted by the premier Award – winning comedian and TV presenter Dominic Holland and 600 leading names within the UK bridal industry are expected to attend.
According to Susi Rogol – editor of Bridal Buyer magazine and bridalbuyer.com – the entry rate and quality of entries in the Bridal Buyer Awards 2010 surpassed all expectations. “That Britain produces a wealth of talent in the bridal industry is no surprise – we have a reputation the world over for cutting edge creativity; it is the fact that we continue to innovate and deliver the highest possible standards of design, manufacture and customer service, that never ceases to amaze. The Bridal Buyer Awards underpins the rich offerings in this vibrant industry and highlights those who lead the way. Against tougher competition than ever before Anna McDonald Bridal Gallery has done brilliantly to have reached the finalist’s stage in 2 categories .”
The sponsors of the awards include Confetti, Ian Stuart Bride, Wedding TV, British Bridalwear Association, Swarovski, Liza Designs & Justin Alexander.
